Terms

Beta Terms

Beta edition, from the day the account beta opens. Not yet in effect. These terms apply to an invited tester only from when they accept them, on creating their Tempol account; there is no public beta offer. A software licence agreement replaces them before any release you can buy.

Once accepted, in plain words: it is pre-release software, it is free, it is yours to use on up to two Macs while your beta access lasts, it is not yours to pass on, and it comes without promises.

Applies once accepted · not yet in effectNothing here is offered to the public. An invitation comes first; these terms apply from when the invited tester accepts them.

01Private beta

Tempol is in private beta. What you receive — access through a Tempol account, and the signed build — is provided at no charge so that you can try the software and tell us how it went. It may be incomplete, may change without notice, and may stop working when the beta ends.

02Evaluation licence

For as long as your beta access lasts you may install and use the build on up to two Macs that you use, signed in to your account, for your own work, to evaluate it. This is permission to use, not ownership: Tempol, its code, its design and its name remain the property of Tempol LLC.

03Beta access

Your beta access belongs to your Tempol account and lasts until the private beta ends. We will email you at least 14 days before it ends.

Tempol needs an internet connection while you use it. If it cannot confirm your access — no connection, an outage on our side, or your access has ended — it locks within the hour and shows only the sign-in screen, and the panel imports nothing. Your files, the index, previews and settings on your Mac are not touched, and everything is there again once your access is confirmed.

04What you may not do

Share your account or your sign-in with anyone else; copy or distribute the build; sell, rent or sublicense it; remove or alter its notices; reverse engineer or decompile it beyond what the law allows; or use it to build a competing product.

05Your files are yours

You keep every right to your own media, templates, project files and the work you make with them. Tempol reads them, copies footage beside your projects when you import, and does not upload them. It is pre-release software all the same: keep backups of work you care about.

06Bugs and availability

The build may contain bugs. We do not promise that the beta, the sign-in and access service or the site will stay available, or that any feature will remain in a later version.

07Feedback

Anything you tell us about the beta — what broke, what you would change — we may use to improve Tempol, without obligation to you. We will not credit you by name without asking.

08Network use

This build does not collect diagnostics or usage data. It needs an internet connection to sign you in and to confirm your access while you use it; the Privacy Policy says exactly what that sends and what we keep. Feedback or a screenshot you send us by hand may contain whatever you choose to include in it.

09Confidentiality

Please keep the build, your account and what you see of unreleased features to yourself until Tempol is publicly released. Screenshots and descriptions shared with us are welcome.

10Expiry and termination

We may suspend or end your account's access at any time, in particular if these terms are broken. When your beta access ends, or the beta ends, or on request, delete the build.

11No warranty, and the limit of liability

The build is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, Tempol LLC is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the beta, including loss of data or of work. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid for the beta, which is nothing.

12Who is offering this, and where to write

Tempol is a product of Tempol LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. Questions: beta@tempol.app.
